Perfect getaway for families

We fished right off the lakeside patio! Just imagine, my kids and me casting our lines while watching that gorgeous sunset. And the outdoor games? I mean, oversized cornhole and giant checkers? We couldn't get enough of it.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but I guess you pay for all these perks.

Waterpark, peddle boats,fishing rods, S'mores. Great location on the lake.

WiFi was spotty in rooms, but great in the lobby.

The hallways smelled like must or mold. There have been problems with other motels with this but the one in Ashland was pretty bad.

Clean room and enjoyable family activities, but the pool closed unexpectedly.

The bed was uncomfortable. Roll to the middle. For the cost of the room would have expected a better bed.

The breakfast was complimentary and excellent with hard boiled eggs, a waffle maker, free WiFi, and the facilities were good. I found the hotel's location stunning and lovely, short walk to a beach, lawn games, and a wonderful view of the bay, and Ashland downtown.

The fried fish at the local shack was a highlight-so crispy and fresh, it practically danced on my taste buds! Plus, the hotel's pool area was a fun spot for my kids, bringing joy amidst some ups and downs.

A cheeky downside was the lack of iced water in the lobby, especially on a hot day. I shouldn't have to shell out vending machine prices for something so simple.

Merle (maintenance man) was so helpful in getting us ready for walking on the ice at ice caves. He even lent us his own ice clips for our boots. That's service with a smile!! Thanks so much.

1st room smelled so bad we had to move to another. Even the staff commented the same thing. Like the room had not been used for a while. Breakfast offered stale bisquits, poor juices, non-edible sausage patties and generally disappointing.

Bathrooms need a deep clean!!! Please figure out water slide maintenance schedules to avoid disappointment for families visiting!!! Noise from bonfires interferes with relaxation!!!

The room was clean and well-maintained, and the complimentary breakfast was diverse, with eggs, sausage, and fresh pastries. The front desk staff was efficient in assisting with my queries and check-in process, made my arrival smooth.

No significant complaints during this stay.
